Carmina Oaks has been the Executive Director and co-founder of the Latino Resource Center since 2001.  Born in Mexico City, she has a degree in early childhood education and studied anthropology.  Carmina is proud of her Hispanic heritage and her bi-cultural life experiences, which she uses to help bridge the cultural gap between Latinos and Anglos.  She believes strongly that the LRC is a key element for healthy integration in Jackson Hole.  Her community participation and leadership has enriched many agencies at the local, state and national level.  Married to John Oaks since 1971, they have a son attending college in New Mexico.

 Luis Fernandez Gates is originally from Lima, Peru; he has been in Jackson Hole since 2005. Luis has a B.A. in Business with a specialization in Marketing. He brought previous experience from the Marketing Department in pharmaceutical laboratories in Peru. He gained as well client services experience from both Four Seasons Resort and the Jackson State Bank and Trust. Luis is currently a member of the Jackson Hole Community Radio Board of Directors. He provides a focused perspective for the Latino Resource Center organization development. He lives in town with his fiancée Emily; they are getting married on May 2008 in Lima.

Gabby Haro is originally from Idaho, but has lived in Jackson Hole for the past 6 years. After graduating high school one year early, she decided to become more involved with the Latino community. Being raised in a bi-cultural home, Gabby grew up speaking both English, and Spanish. Her mother is originally from Idaho and her father is originally from Mexico, where Gabby plans to attend college and become an English teacher. Her goals are simple yet complicated as she follows the quote by Maya Angelou: If you don't like something, change it. If you can't change it, change your attitude.
