Life Skills Cooking Classes

Latino women in Teton County lead busy and stressful lives.  They often work full time jobs, while also maintaining traditional roles as family caregivers.  Issues like minimal educational backgrounds, language barriers and low self esteem lead to feelings of depression, isolation and anxiety.  One of the major challenges we face as a community is educating and informing women like those described above about the abundance of resources available in our community to help women.

Life Skills Cooking classes offer Latina women a relaxed and fun environment to learn new recipes and network with other women with similar life experiences and situations.  At the same time, these women hear presentations about vital issues that affect their daily lives, like depression, domestic violence, literacy and health issues.
