Monthly Forums

Monthly Forums are an effective means to help enable successful adjustment of Latinos to American culture.  These meetings introduce Latinos to community leaders and local, state and federal regulations and issues.  Experts in various fields educate Latinos about important topics such as immigration, taxes, housing, employment, responsible living in the US,  driving laws and more.  The leaders who have addressed the Latino population of Jackson through these forums have included our Sheriff, Chief of Police, Small Business Administration liaison, local attorneys and businesses that help with immigration, representatives of community social agencies, federal agency leaders from HUD, US Homeland Security and International emissaries from the Mexican Consulate in Salt Lake City.  Forums teach leadership skills, the importance of community involvement and integration, and respect for US customs and regulations.
